I have been completely avoiding my blog because of the frustration I feel when I upload photos to my albums and they are either too small, cut in half, or just don't reflect the true nature of my art work. So, I decided today that I would just upload photo's here and there as I write in my blog and see how that works. I wanted to post some photos of my work that was recently shown at "The Wooden Cow Gallery" in Abluquerque. When I tried to post them as thumbnails, the overall presentation of my work did not look right to my eye. So, I deleted them. I am still working with digital programs on my own and really have discovered that I would much rather spend time working with my hands actually creating things. I now have another show to prepare for at "The Fuller Lodge Art Center" which will feature some of my photographs taken at the historical "Black Hole" owned by the late Ed Grothus. If you do a search on "You Tube", you will find some interesting history about "The Black Hole" and the life of Ed Grothus. There are several videos. I recommend watching them all as he was a very intresting, eccentric man with a profound belief system. Because the content for the upcoming show was based on "The 60th Anniversary of Los Alamos-Past and Present", I chose to just go out several days in a row and shoot some photos of "Ed's Place" which is rapidly changing since Ed's passing. I wanted to capture some of the interesting things that he collected and just randomly, if I must say so "plopped" down in his salvage yard. And, so here goes a few photo's from my last exhibit and from my upcoming exhibit.
