With all of the grumblings about the economy and difficult times we are having to endure this year, what are you grateful for? For one thing, I am grateful to have George Bush leaving office. It has been a long 8 years. But, patience paid off! I am also grateful to have a man that loves me, a nice step-daughter,family, friends, my dogs, a warm roof over my head, food on the table, and the life that I have been blessed with. Today, I woke up to let the dogs out and when I went to let them in, their was great interest in what they were seeing outside the backyard. A puppy Bischon Frisee was looking at them and wagging. I was worried a coyote would get him and he wouldn't come to us. My husband finally wooed him inside the gated deck with cookies. A little fluffy white snowball. I went about making some signs hoping I could find his owner, but with it being Sunday and no collar, I was less than hopeful. But, as I drove down the street and made a turn to the right, I started posting my signs. I went nearly a mile, when I noticed a cardboard sign that said, "Lost Dog" Answers to "Baxter"-Bischon Frisee. Oh man, I was thrilled. I turned around and went home to make the call. By gosh, Baxter was visiting from Texas and got out of the yard. I have this thing for lost dogs. So, today was Baxter's lucky day. I am thankful for that. Today, is the first day of Winter. I now begin to look for a little more light each day as Spring is only 3 months away now. And, we will have a new President. I have had so little time to make art, but right now, I am just trying to go with the flow. So, for those of you who happen upon my blog before Christmas-- May you all have a blessed Holiday and remember that the true Spirit of Christmas dwells within. Goodnight.
